Information sought on suspicious mobile home fire

MAGNOLIA (WJER) (Oct. 11, 2024) – A Wednesday night blaze at the Sandy Valley Estates is being investigated as an act of arson.
The Ohio Fire Marshal’s Office made the ruling Thursday about the fire that broke out shortly before 11 pm at the vacant mobile home in the 11-thousand block of Oak St NE. Firefighters from East Sparta and other area fire departments located and extinguished the fire while preventing the flames from spreading to nearby structures. Anyone with information is asked to call the Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office at 330-339-2000 or the fire marshal’s tip line at 1-800-589-2728. The Ohio Blue Ribbon Arson Committee is offering a $5,000 reward to whoever can identify the culprit.
