Jr. Fair Mentors Prep Younger 4-Hers for Fair Week
DOVER (WTUZ) (Sept. 8, 2026) – Tuscarawas County Fair organizers are gearing up for opening day, and this year retiring Jr. Fair Board members are mentoring younger 4‑Hers to pass along their experience. OSU Extension Educator Chris Kendle says the new program gives outgoing board members a way to stay involved as they head off to college.
Mentor Maggie Hamilton says she wants to teach younger members how to be strong role models.
Board members Norah Randolph and Ally Kendle say they’re following in their older siblings’ footsteps and hope to show younger 4‑Hers all aspects of the fair — and how to lend a helping hand wherever needed.
