Man dies in tree-trimming accident in Clay Township
CLAY TOWNSHIP (WJER) (August 8, 2022) – A 64-year-old man died from injuries he sustained after falling off a ladder while using a chainsaw Sunday morning, according to a press release from the Arrowhead Joint Fire District.
The man’s name and details regarding injuries are being withheld to protect the patient’s privacy.
The press release says the incident took place in the 1300 block of Miller Road SW just before 9 a.m. Sunday. The man was using a chainsaw to cut a limb on a tree while standing on a ladder. He was injured by the chainsaw in the fall.
First responders called for MedFlight, but it could not respond due to the weather. The man was transported to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital where he died from his injuries.
The department extended its condolences and thanked Uhrichsville for providing assistance.
