Mill Township trailer home gutted in blaze
MILL TWP. (WJER) (Aug. 30, 2023) – A trailer home was gutted, but no one was hurt in a Tuesday morning fire in Mill Township.
Dennison Fire Chief Dave McConnell says it started just before 8:30 a.m. in the 3800 block of Eastport Road Southeast.
He says the fire originated in the kitchen. The cause is undetermined, but investigators couldn’t rule out electrical.
McConnell says the fire left the trailer unlivable. Half the trailer had heavy fire damage, and the rest had heat, smoke, and water damage. He did not have a damage estimate.
McConnell says the homeowner has insurance and a place to stay.
Crews from Dennison, Uhrichsville, Warwick Township, Smith Ambulance, Dennison Police, and the Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office helped at the scene.
