More men wanted for Community Health Needs Assessment survey

| July 23, 2024

DOVER (WJER) (July 23, 2024) – The Healthy Tusc collaborative is working to get more Tuscarawas County adults – particularly men – to fill out its Community Health Needs Assessment before time runs out.

The anonymous online survey that runs through July 31st can be found through the link near the top of the Tuscarawas County Health Department’s website, or by clicking HERE.

Healthy Tusc Chair Jennifer Demuth says the survey is conducted once every three years and only takes about 10 to 15 minutes to complete. The results help many local health and human service organizations understand how they can better serve residents and strengthen their arguments when pursuing funding.

“We’re able to use this data to convince grant funders and funders at the state and federal level that we need certain services in Tuscarawas County and why it’s a good idea for them to invest their grant funds in us here in Tuscarawas County,” said Demuth.

Demuth says as of mid-month, only about 16 percent of the survey respondents have been men, so she’s asking for more adult males to participate.

“It will really help us get a more complete and accurate picture of the needs in Tuscarawas County because we know both men and women in Tuscarawas County have needs,” she said.

Demuth says as another perk, people who fill out the survey can also be entered into a drawing for a $50 gas card.
