Newcomerstown Man Killed in I-77 Crash Near Stone Creek.
NEW PHILADELPHIA (WJER) (Aug. 12, 2026) – State troopers are investigating a fatal crash that killed a Newcomerstown Man on I-77 near Stone Creek Tuesday afternoon.
The State Highway Patrol says 60-year-old Michael A. Carr was heading south, pulling a small trailer, when his car went off the right side of the road and hit an embankment just before 5 o’clock.
Carr was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers say he was not wearing a seat belt, and they do not suspect drugs or alcohol were factors.
