ALMOST HALF OF DOVER LOST POWER SUNDAY EVENING

DOVER – The entire east side was without power for about two hours Sunday evening after a tree fell on main feedline along Tremont Street. Mayor Shane Gunnoe says the outage lasted two hours and two minutes from about 7 to 9 p.m. The tree that fell was on private property. Gunnoe says the city does trim branches that are near powerlines. However, the entire tree that fell over and took down a utility pole was further back on the Tremont property. Dover has its own power company, and its crews were able to quickly respond.
