ODOT to close I-77 north on-ramp from West High to clean spilled paint
NEW PHILADELPHIA (WJER) (Oct. 9, 2025) – The Ohio Department of Transportation says crews are about to begin work to clean up paint that spilled in the road on the I-77 north entrance ramp from West High Avenue in New Philadelphia, and it’s going to impact traffic.
District 11 spokeswoman Lauren Borell says that ramp will be closed from 8 p.m. this evening through 5 a.m. Friday.
She says the detour will take State Route 39 west to the I-77 northbound on-ramp in Dover.
Borell says I-77 north will be also restricted to one lane of traffic through the U.S. Route 250 interchange as this work is happening tonight.
