Ohio’s additional deer gun weekend is this Saturday and Sunday

TUSCARAWAS CO. (WJER) (Dec. 16, 2025) – Gun hunters will be getting another chance to bag a white-tailed deer this weekend.

The state’s additional deer gun weekend is December 20^th and 21^st.

Hunters in Tuscarawas County checked in the third most deer in the state at 2,764 during the week-long regular season that concluded Dec.7.

Deer hunting hours are 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset.

Safety officials remind drivers to watch out for extra deer activity along the roads.

Meanwhile, muzzleloader season is coming up Jan. 3-6. Archery season continues until Feb. 1st.
