Overnight fire put out at Dover Brake Inc.

| June 18, 2024

FRANKLIN TWP. (WJER) (June 18, 2024) – It is another hardship at Dover Brake Inc. north of Strasburg.

A fire broke out in the main building at the business early this morning. Damage isn’t apparent to the front as you drive by on U.S. 250 NW, but charring and siding damage is visible along one of the side walls and metal roof.

This comes after the passing of longtime co-owner Paul McCoy earlier this month.

A couple dozen emergency vehicles responded to the fire after it was reported to authorities just before 12:30 a.m. The final crews left scene about two and a half hours later. Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s dispatchers say no one was injured.

WJER News expects to learn more from Strasburg firefighters today.
