Pedaling for a Purpose to Support Jack’s House of Hope
NEW PHILADELPHIA (WJER) (Aug. 24, 2026) – Friends of the Homeless of Tuscarawas County will host its Pedaling for a Purpose bicycle ride Saturday to support operations at Jack’s House of Hope, the county’s new homeless shelter that opened earlier this year.
Board President Joe Svancara says the ride starts at 10 a.m. at Canal Lands Park on Dover-Zoar Road. Riders may choose a six-mile or 25-mile group route along the Towpath Trail, or ride a distance of their own choosing.
Registration is $25, and children ride free with a paid adult. The first 50 paid riders will receive a free T-shirt.
