Registered sex offender pleads not guilty to new charges
NEW PHILADELPHIA – A registered sex offender has pleaded not guilty to rape and other charges months after the probation term for a previous sex crime expired.

BRADLEY BUCHER (TCSO)
Bradley Bucher, 62, of Hastings, Mich., this week pleaded not guilty to a Tuscarawas County Grand Jury indictment for rape, sexual battery, gross sexual imposition, failure to register and violating a protection order. He is in the Tuscarawas County Jail with bond set at $250,000.
Bucher pleaded guilty to gross sexual imposition in 2023. A two-year probation sentence expired in late 2025. He is on sex offender registries in Ohio and Michigan.
The more recent crimes are alleged to have occurred between November 2025 and July 2026, according to court records. The grand jury indicted Bucher in September.
A telephone pretrial is scheduled for October 14th.
