Registration deadline arrives for Aug. 8th special election
NEW PHILADELPHIA (WJER) (July 10, 2023) – It’s the last day to register or update your information to vote in the August 8th special election.
Tuscarawas County Board of Elections Director Gail Garbrandt says their office on the first floor of the county courthouse will be staying open until 9 p.m. this evening for the occasion.
Early voting then begins tomorrow morning and continues weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through July 28th with expanded evening and weekend hours as we get closer to election day.
The lone issue on the ballot would increase the threshold for passing constitutional amendments in Ohio from a simple majority to 60 percent.
