Republican Women to Host Candidate Night in Dover
DOVER (WJER) (Aug. 24, 2026) – The newly formed Tuscarawas County Republican Women’s group is inviting voters to meet Republican candidates running for office this fall.
The group will host a Meet the Candidates Night on Tuesday, Sept. 1, from 5 to 8 p.m. at El Hefe Restaurant in Dover.
Group president Cathy Harris says attendees will hear from Republican candidates—or their representatives—seeking federal, state, judicial and county offices.
Each candidate will have about five minutes to share why they are running, followed by a question-and-answer session. Topics may include property taxes, data centers, voter ID requirements and other issues.
The event is free and open to everyone, with appetizers and a drink ticket included for each attendee.
