Ribbon cutting set for new Panhandle Park

UHRICHSVILLE (WJER) (June 9, 2025) – Twin City officials are getting ready to recognize everyone who played a role in creating new green space on East Fourth Street in Uhrichsville along Little Stillwater Creek.
There’s a dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony planned for the Panhandle Park Saturday at 11:30 a.m. The park includes lighting and sidewalks.
Twin City Chamber of Commerce Director Beth DiDonato says the land was cleared in late 2022. After that, her group approached numerous businesses and non-profits who’ve been able to help them raise the tens of thousands of dollars to develop the park.
She says the park also features a gazebo, a walking path, a flagpole surrounded by engraved bricks, and more.
The park serves as the trailhead for the Panhandle Passage Trail, a 1.1-mile pathway connecting the city of Uhrichsville with the village of Dennison.
