Sale to help replace sidewalks at Dover Library
DOVER (WJER) (Aug. 9, 2024) – There’s a big sale on Saturday at the Dover Public Library.
Gill says they’re hosting what they’re calling a ‘sidewalk book sale,’ although it has a lot more than just reading material.
“It’s almost a rummage sale. We’re gonna have older computers and technology components but the majority books, of course; a lot of audio-visual like DVDs and Blueray, books on CD; children’s items; all kinds of good stuff.”
The price is by donation. Gill says it’s a sidewalk sale because they’ll have tables set up outside and that’s what the proceeds are going toward.
“We have some broken sidewalk. It’s kind of a tripping hazard. We thought this would be a great way to get this taken care of this fall, hopefully, so that’s what your donations will go for.”
The sale is for books and other items the library no longer has use for. There’s a sneak preview Friday from 5 to 7 pm for members of the library’s friends group.
