Salvation Army launches July fundraising campaign
NEW PHILADELPHIA (WJER) (July 6, 2026) – Salvation Army officials say a small donation could make a big difference for families in the Dover and New Philadelphia area.
The Dover/New Philadelphia Salvation Army is taking part in the “Give a Little, Change a Lot” fundraiser now through July 31. Donations will be matched by territorial headquarters up to $1,000, and all money raised will stay in the community.
Captain Andrew Behr says the support helps fund year-round programs for local families.
“This will not only help financially but also will remind people that the Salvation Army is out there. They are a great resource for people who are in need,” said Behr.
Those programs include a soup kitchen, food pantry, Summer Day Camp Program and more.
