Services set for Canton police officer from Dover
DOVER (WJER) (Nov. 12, 2025) – Funeral arrangements are set for the Canton police officer from Dover who died as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident while driving to work Monday morning.
A service celebrating the life of 47-year-old Dave Wolgamott will be next Tuesday at 11 a.m. at New Pointe Community Church in Dover. FOP services will begin at 4:45 p.m. at the church on Monday, followed by calling hours from 5-7 p.m. that evening.
According to his obituary through the Toland Herzig Funeral Home, Wolgamott is survived by his wife Crystal, along with two children and two step-daughters.
Wolgamott joined the Army after high school and served in Bosnia. He was also in the Army National Guard for years after that. He was with the Canton Police Department for 19 years and previously patrolled with the Strasburg and Bolivar departments.
He spent his free time hunting, fishing, and attending his kids’ school events.
Meanwhile, authorities have not released any more information yet about the cause of his crash.
