Sherrodsville area manhunt ends with suspect in custody
CARROLLTON (WJER) (May 12, 2025) – Carroll County authorities say that the suspect they were looking for who was wanted by U.S. Marshals is now in jail.
The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office announced Saturday that 42-year-old Joshua M. Middleton of the Canton area had been located and taken into custody.
The office didn’t immediately say how or where Middleton was found.
Multiple agencies joined the search Thursday morning around the Sherrodsville area. Authorities at the time said his car had been impounded and he was believed to be on foot and possibly armed.
The U.S. Marshals Service had an active warrant out for Middleton for weapon possession.
