Sherrodsville passenger killed in early morning St. Patrick’s Day crash
NEW PHILADELPHIA (WJER) (March 18, 2024) – The State Highway Patrol says a Sherrodsville woman was killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash early Sunday on state Route 39 east of Roswell.
The crash happened at about 2:50 a.m.
Troopers say the victim pronounced dead at the scene was 46-year-old Jennifer Sickels.
Sgt. Clinton Armstrong says she was a front seat passenger in the car that was being driven by her husband, 48-year-old Richard Sickels.
Armstrong says he is unsure about the extent of Richard Sickels’ injuries.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash. A report is being sent to the prosecutor to consider charges.
Two backseat passengers were also taken to area hospitals for minor injuries.
