Shooting in New Philadelphia under investigation
NEW PHILADELPHIA (WJER) (June 27, 2024) – New Philadelphia police have arrested a suspect for a shooting incident late Wednesday on the south side of the city.
Details are still limited. Police weren’t immediately available for comment this morning.
Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s call records say police took a 27-year-old Uhrichsville man into custody around 11:45 p.m. and that deputies assisted by performing live-saving measures to the victim by applying pressure to a gunshot wound until EMS arrived. There was no other information about the victim or that person’s condition.
This was reported in the 300 block of Church Ave SE. A gun was located near where the suspect was apprehended.
