Son of “Tuesdays with Morrie” subject to speak in Dover about new book
DOVER (WJER) (Aug. 31. 2023) – The son of the subject for the bestselling book “Tuesdays with Morrie” is headed to the Dover Public Library to talk about the newest work involving his late father.
“Tuesdays with Morrie” focused on lessons shared by sociology professor and author Morrie Schwartz while battling ALS prior to his death in 1995.
Dover Public Library Director Jim Gill says they’re hosting Morrie’s son Rob Schwartz at the library this evening to discuss his new book “The Wisdom of Morrie,” based on an unpublished manuscript found in Morrie’s desk after he passed away.
The book came out in April and encourages readers to live vibrantly at any age.
Schwartz has made numerous television appearances promoting it, including on ABC’s Good Morning America.
Schwartz will be speaking and signing books at 6:30 p.m. tonight. Copies of it will be for sale. Gill would like people who are planning to attend to call the library at 330-343-6123 to RSVP, if possible.
