NEW PHILADELPHIA (WJER) (Feb. 8, 2024)  – Tuscarawas County residents are being invited to see the area’s newest healthcare service options and meet the staff there.

SpringVale Marketing & Fundraising Director Miles Riley says there’s an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony for their new RapidCare facility at 155 Garland Drive Southwest in New Philadelphia from 4:30 to 6:30 pm today.  He says the facility has been open about a month now, offering both medical and behavioral health urgent care.

“For non-life-threatening emergencies that need immediate attention, we have the medical side,” he said. “The behavior health urgent care side is for individuals who would like to meet one-on-one with a counselor right away, who may be in a moment of crisis or who are looking for substance use treatment.”

In addition, Riley says SpringVale’s new state of the art Mobile Health Unit will be on hand and open for viewing.

“It’s allowing us to go out into communities where healthcare isn’t readily available and provide some basic services throughout the community,” he said.

Light refreshments will be provided at today’s open house.

SpringVale’s new RapidCare facility is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Fridays.
