Stark County burglary suspects rack up charges after alleged crime spree
CANTON – Two suspects in a recent string of Stark County burglaries and break-ins are making appearances in court this week.
One of them is 47-year-old Patrick Hoover, whose has multiple addresses listed in court and police files, most recently in Strasburg.
He had six criminal cases filed against him on July 8 and 9 in Canton and Massillon that include 20 felony charges such as safecracking, breaking and entering and theft.
Reports from the Stark County Sheriff’s Office say safes and cash were stolen from multiple businesses on June 18 and 26 in Canton, Massillon and East Sparta.
Hoover is on probation from a 2022 case when he was charged with 23 felonies for burglary and tampering with coin machines among other charges. That case has been reopened, and Hoover has a probable cause hearing scheduled in August as the court considers modifying or revoking his parole.
Hoover was in the Stark County Jail with court hearings scheduled this week. Some of the cases were bound to the grand jury on Monday.
The other suspect is Janet Wilson of Canton. The Sheriff’s Office lists 10 charges including nine felonies against her. She was released on a recognizance bond and is due back in court this week.
