State champion Dover cheerleaders honored at Statehouse

COLUMBUS (WJER) (May 19, 2025) – Tuscarawas County’s state legislators are joining in on the celebration of the Dover High School cheer team’s state championship.
State Senator Al Landis introduced the team and coaches Courtney Reese and Samantha Anderson to his colleagues on the Senate floor Wednesday for winning the 2025 OASSA Division III State Cheer Championship.
Landis was especially proud to have his granddaughter, Eliana Landis, beside him as part of the championship team.
The Dover cheerleaders received the same recognition during the Wednesday session of the Ohio House where they were introduced by State Rep Jodi Salvo.
Earlier the team visited the governor’s mansion and met Gov. Mike DeWine.
