State Highway Patrol investigating fatal crash Wednesday in Franklin Township
FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP – The State Highway Patrol is still investigating a fatal, one-vehicle crash that happened Wednesday afternoon.
The State Highway Patrol says a 57-year-old Dundee woman died following the crash on State Route 93 near milepost 13 in Franklin Township Wednesday at approximately 2:25 p.m.
The gray 2006 Honda CR-V she was driving westbound from her own private driveway went off the right side of the roadway and struck a guardrail. The driver, Deborah A. Davis, was transported to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.
Alcohol is not suspected in the crash and the driver was wearing her seatbelt.
Officials are still trying to determine contributing factors.
Strasburg and Wayne Township Fire Departments along with the county sheriff’s office assisted at the scene.
