Stone Creek man walks away from farming plane crash
BUCYRUS (WJER) (May 20, 2024) – Multiple media outlets in western Ohio are reporting that a Tuscarawas County man sustained just minor injuries from an agricultural plane crash over the weekend.
According to the reports, The Ohio State Highway Patrol Crawford County post told them the pilot was 51-year-old Nathaniel Thomas of Stone Creek.
The patrol says Thomas was piloting a single-engine Air Tractor AT-602 that apparently flew into high tension wires before crashing into a field new Bucyrus at about 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
Thomas reportedly refused treatment after the crash, which remains under investigation.
WJER has been unable to reach the Crawford County post for more information.
The New Washington Fire Department, which also responded to the crash, has posted photos of the plane on its Facebook page.
