NEW PHILADELPHIA (WJER) (July 18, 2022) – Grand jurors have handed down a five-count indictment against the suspect in the fatal shooting of a 37-year-old Belmont County man.

36-year-old Dalbert “Dale” Sanders of Uhrichsville is charged with involuntary manslaughter,  reckless homicide, and using a firearm while intoxicated for the shooting death of John Q. Bashline II. He and two codefendants – 37-year-old Michael P. Reynolds and 26-year-old Dominic Reynolds – are also charged with gross abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence for allegedly placing Bashline’s body in the backseat of his car and leaving it parked along McKee Road in Dennison the morning of May 15th.

The men told investigators Bashline’s death was accidental and occurred while they were playing a game called “quick draw” with a handgun during a birthday party at a Feed Springs Road home.
