TCC fieldhouse project moves closer to fundraising goal and construction
NEW PHILADELPHIA (WJER) (Sept. 22, 2025) – Tuscarawas Central Catholic supporters are closing in on their fundraising goals for the new fieldhouse.
Building on Excellence campaign board member Mike Fredericks says they’ve nearly secured all the cash and pledges required by the diocese for the approximately 24,000 square foot project, estimated to cost up to $5.5 million.
Fredericks says TCC will bid the project out to general contractors in the coming weeks, still with the plan to start construction sometime around March. It should take about a year to build.
He says some of the features will include two full-size basketball courts, a weight room, batting cages, and a golf simulator. The fieldhouse will also have a workout room, a walking track, and more for the community to access when students are in class.
