Three Quakers sign up to play football in college

New Philadelphia's Konnor Tetzloff signs a National Letter of Intent to play football at Walsh University.

Konnor Tetzloff, the son of Rod and Randi Tetzloff of Bolivar, will sign a National Letter of Intent to play football at Division II Walsh University located in Canton. The Cavaliers are members of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (GMAC). Konnor plans to major in education.

NP Head Coach Mike Johnson: “Konnor has been a lightning rod of energy in our program. He is a guy that motivates his teammates and plays so hard that you can’t take your eyes off him. His energy is infectious and his athleticism allows him to succeed at whatever he does. It will be great to see Konnor help the Cavaliers next year and beyond!”

New Philadelphia’s Cameron Clarkson signs a National Letter of Intent to play football at Walsh University.

Cameron Clarkson, the son of Dave and Nikki Clarkson of New Philadelphia will sign a National Letter of Intent to play football at Division II Walsh University located in Canton. The Cavaliers are members of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (GMAC). Cameron plans to major in education.

NP Head Coach Mike Johnson: “Cameron has been a stalwart on our offensive line and a leader on our Quaker Football team for three years. He is an absolute team player that leads by example on the field, in the weight room, and in the classroom. Cameron will be a great addition to the Walsh University Football team. We are excited to see what the future holds for Cameron and the Cavaliers.”

New Philadelphia’s Anthony Fields signs a National Letter of Intent to play football at Allegheny College.

Anthony Fields, son of Bradley and Danyell Fields, of New Philadelphia, will sign a National Letter of Intent to play football at Division III Allegheny College located in Meadville, Pennsylvania. The Gators are members of the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC). Anthony plans to major in history.
NP Head Coach Mike Johnson: “Anthony is a 2023 letter winner, a good special teams player, a valuable scout team member and a great teammate. He is always ready to help the team in any way with a
positive attitude and a great work ethic. It will be exciting to see Anthony take the next step in his athletic career as he joins the Gators!”
