Dover’s girls swam away with the title at the Dover Invitational Saturday at the Y. The boys finished runner up to Stow-Munroe Falls. New Philadelphia’s boys and girls placed seventh.
Dover swimmers set three meet records.
Lucas Lane shattered the 100-freestyle record by almost 4 seconds. He also shaved four seconds off his own 200-freestyle record.
Lane was part of a record-setting 400-freestyle relay team with Cameron Marshall, Thomas Perkowski, and Kasey Ruegsegger. Marshall also won the 100 backstroke.
For the Dover girls, Holly Perkowski won the 100 butterfly and swam on two first-place relay teams. Sophomore Elizabeth Lane won two races and was part of a winning relay team.
