Tuscarawas County attractions join Ohio trail for America250 celebrations

ZOAR (WJER) (Feb. 20, 2025) – Tuscarawas County is fitting into the state’s celebration plans for the nation’s 250th birthday in 2026.

The America 250 – Ohio Commission has established the Ohio Creativity Trail with108 sites you can drive to across the state showcasing Ohio’s significant contributions to American history in six creative arts fields.

Historic Zoar Village and the Ernest Warther Museum made the trail under the Folk and Traditional Art category.

Zoar Site Director Tammi Mackey-Shrum says state tourism officials will be promoting the trail and its stops online. She believes it will bring in some crowds.

Tuscora Park is also a stop on the trail, making it under the Carousels category.
