Tuscarawas County Health Department offering Earth Day giveaways
DOVER (WJER) (April 22, 2025) – The Tuscarawas County Health Department is celebrating all things Earth Day.
Director of Promotion and Community Relations Jennifer Demuth says health officials will be giving away goody bags during a drive-up event in the department’s parking lot today (Tuesday) from 3 to 5 p.m.
The bags will include packets of flower seeds and coloring books that teach kids about the importance of taking care of the environment.
They’ll also be giving out tick removal kits with tweezers, a tiny magnifying glass, a card explaining how to safely remove ticks, and more – all ahead of May, which is Lyme Disease Awareness Month.
