Tuscarawas County Health Department’s $2.1m construction project enters final phase
DOVER (WJER) (Nov. 24, 2025) – The Tuscarawas County Health Department will have a new main entrance starting today as a $2.1 million construction project moves closer to completion.
Spokesperson Jennifer Demuth says the new main entrance will be open in the back of the building with handicapped accessible parking, but the front lobby will be closed to continue the work.
Demuth says the work on the East Iron Avenue building should be complete by early next year.
She says the building’s heating and cooling system and its handicap accessibility features were close to 50 years old.
The project is partially funded by federal grants including some distributed through the American Rescue Plan Act that followed the COVID-19 pandemic.
