TuscBDD celebrates Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month
NEW PHILADELPHIA (WJER) (Mar. 4, 2025) – TuscBDD is embracing Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month all throughout March.
Tuscarawas County Board of Developmental Disabilities Community Connections Specialist Chris Sapp says hundreds of individuals served in the state are in Columbus today to connect with lawmakers as it is Ohio Statehouse Day for DD Awareness Month.
Spokesperson Kerri Silverthorn says the local group will also gather tomorrow at the Tuscarawas County Courthouse when the commissioners issue their yearly awareness month proclamation.
The month-long activities wrap up with the annual pancake breakfast and Better Together awards ceremony on March 27th at the Tuscora Park dining hall.
