Uhrichsville fills Council vacancy with candidate familiar to the role
UHRICHSVILLE (WTUZ) (April 14, 2025) – The city of Uhrichsville has a new Council member.
It’s Ron Miller, who is back in the Ward 2 seat after stepping down from the same post in 2022.
The Ward 2 seat opened up again with the resignation of Leigh Ann McCray, who has since been hired as manager for the water park and concession stand.
Council President Buck Cottrell said they only had one applicant for the vacant seat. Mayor Jim Zucal welcomed Miller back.
Miller was officially sworn in Friday morning. The term ends December 31, 2027.
The decision fell to council after the Tuscarawas County Republican Central Committee was unable to appoint a candidate.
