Uhrichsville to consider adding 2 city employees

| September 15, 2025

UHRICHSVILLE (WTUZ) (Sept. 15, 2025) – Mayor Jim Zucal is hoping for council’s approval on a couple of hirings.

Zucal says following the departure of Terry McFerren as code enforcement officer, they need someone in that position.

The job has been paying $15 an hour. Zucal would like to see it bumped up to $20 an hour, along with benefits.

While in the street department, they currently have three employees. Zucal wants to add one more.

Street Department Supervisor Steve Patterson says hiring another worker would be helpful if someone is off and it could reduce overtime hours, especially in the winter months.

The council finance committee will review the requests.
