YMCA Already Gearing Up for 55th Annual Turkey Trot
DOVER (WJER) (Sept. 14, 2026) – YMCA officials say it’s never too early to start making plans for Thanksgiving morning, as the Tuscarawas County YMCA prepares for its 55th annual Turkey Trot on November 26th.
The family-friendly 5K welcomes serious runners, walkers, strollers and even pets.
Race Director Ryan Hursey says advance registration is $20 for youth age 15 and under, and $30 for everyone else. Registration prices increase as race day approaches, with same-day registration costing $45 and closing at 8 a.m.
The race begins at 9 a.m., with the route using city streets monitored by police and volunteers.
