Art display for the month of April at Dover Public Library

The artwork and poetry of local artists Susan Mallernee and Julie Schwerin will be on display at the Dover Public Library’s Community Room Art Gallery this April. Utilizing a technique called Suminagashi( translated as “floating ink) Schwerin’s work blends dreamlike landscapes with her haiku poetry which has been featured in many haiku installations across the midwest. Mallernee’s work, a blend of watercolor, pastel, and digital, has been featured in the journals “Frog Pond” and “Sonic Boom, to name a few. These works are a perfect way for the community to celebrate “National Poetry Month.” The Dover Public Library is located across from Dover High School at 525 North Walnut Street in Dover Ohio and can be reached at 330-343-6123 and at doverlibrary.org
