July showcase featuring local photographer Terry Barnhill

This July, Dover Public Library will be showcasing the photography of Terry Barnhill in our Art Gallery. With a career spanning nearly 50 years and over 40 National Awards, Barnhill’s exhibit entitled, “Stop, Look, See, and Enjoy” showcases the unique craftsmanship of this local artist in a stunning display of the beauty of nature.  Barnhill became a Certified Professional Photographer in 1986 5 years after he and his wife Patti purchased Mitchell Studio where he photographed local athletes, children, families, and weddings until his retirement in 2017. When asked about his photographic style Barnhill says “I would characterize my style as ‘minimalist’ looking for simple compositions with great lighting and uncluttered backgrounds. I meticulously plan my images from concept to final print.” The library encourages you to beat the heat by enjoying this beautiful display.
