Sensory kits available at Tuscarawas County Public Libraries
The event
The Tuscarawas County Public Library System now has sensory kits at its five locations for customers who need sensory assistance to check out and use while they visit the library.
According to Support Services Manager Cara Randall, a Library staff workgroup researched designs for these kits and found inspiration from other agencies’ work.
Each sensory kit’s drawstring bag includes: noise cancelling headphones a liquid motion bubbler toy, mindful maze board, polarized sunglasses, two textured silicone slap bracelets, and two silicone fidget toys.
Randall said customers interested in the sensory kits can ask about them at any of the County locations which include: Bolivar Branch, Strasburg Branch, Strasburg Branch, Sugarcreek Branch, Tuscarawas Branch, and Main Library in New Philadelphia.
