Book sale at Dover Public Library

The Dover Public Library will hold its Annual Book Sale on Saturday, August 8 from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.  Books, large print books, paperbacks, DVDs, audiobooks, computers, computer equipment, and more will be available for a donationAll proceeds from the Book Sale will benefit the establishment of the library’s new endowment fund. The Book Cellar Bookshop, which is located in the basement of the library and is operated by the Friends of the Dover Public Library, will also be open from 8:00 AM-2:00 PM. The Book Cellar Bookshop is a year-round bookshop that features titles that are new and gently used and are individually priced. A special Book Sale Preview Night for members of the Friends of the Library will take place on Friday, August 8 from 5:00-6:00 PM. Members of the public can pick up a membership application at the library or online at www.doverlibrary.org.
“The proceeds from this year’s annual book sale will help the library as it launches its new endowment fund through the Tuscarawas County Community Foundation,” said Jim Gill, library director. “Our goal is to raise at least $5,000 at the book sale. Our Friends of the Library group has agreed to match the donations received at the book sale so that we will have the required $10,000 to open the fund. It is our hope to create a long-term revenue stream for the library we will have a strong library for generations to come.”
 
The library will be accepting donations of clean and gently used books and DVDs now through August 5. The Dover Public Library is located at 525 N.
