CPR, Quick Response Credited in Dover Township Electrocution Survival
DOVER (WJER) (Oct. 26, 2026) – Friends are rallying around a worker recovering from a serious electrical shock following a power line accident in Dover Township last week.
Dover firefighters say the worker was injured Thursday afternoon at a Circleview Drive Northwest address, west of town, when a piece of metal spouting he was helping lift to a roof came into contact with a high-voltage power line.
The worker, identified by friends as Logan, was flown to an Akron hospital for emergency medical treatment.
Now, Logan’s friend Jake Hickman has started a GoFundMe to help with medical expenses and other costs during his recovery.
Hickman says he and another friend, Kyler, performed CPR while waiting for paramedics, who ultimately delivered a lifesaving shock.
Hickman says he’s grateful Logan survived and is asking the community to help support Logan and his family during the difficult road ahead.
