Hannah Hartman
A local girl born and raised in Tuscarawas County, Hannah is a 2005 graduate of Dover High School. While at dear ol’ Dover High, Hannah also attended Kent State Tuscarawas as a post-secondary student. A year after graduating from high school, she transferred to the main campus of Kent State University where she majored in Communication Studies and minored in Advertising. As part of her course requirements, Hannah completed an internship at WJER Radio, and she graduated from Kent State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. After graduation, Hannah was offered a position at WJER, and she has been a happy employee there ever since.
Hannah finds a certain amount of irony in the fact that she landed a job in radio. Throughout her education, she often had no idea what she wanted to do when she grew up, but she always loved music—she took piano lessons as a kid, played the cello and steel drums in school, was a member of the high school show choir, and participated in several school musicals. Working at WJER allows Hannah to stay in touch with her musical roots during the workday, which she finds incredibly satisfying. And when the workday is done, Hannah keeps things musical by singing and playing guitar in the local band Kodachrome Babies along with her sister (find out more at www.kodachromebabies.com).
