Annual Rainbow Connection Telethon another all-around success

NEW PHILADELPHIA (March 11, 2024) (WJER) – The 51st Annual Rainbow Connection Telethon Sunday smashed its old record.
Director Perci Garner announced the final tally of over $328,000 just before going off the air. That topped last year’s record amount of $306,000.
The funding was raised through a combination of online auction bids, corporate sponsorships, and viewer pledges during Sunday’s telethon.
The money is used to assist disabled and disadvantaged Tuscarawas County residents with medical and equipment expenses.
The telethon aired Sunday on local Spectrum Channel 15 and at www.tuscrainbow.org.
