Camp holding yearly breakfast fundraiser
FAIRFIELD TWP (WJER) (March 22, 2024) – You can fill up on pancakes and support another worthy cause this weekend.
Camp Tuscazoar is holding its yearly Maple Days fundraiser on Saturday and Sunday. Camp Treasurer Nancy Schoenbaum says volunteers will be selling pancake breakfasts on both days from 9 am until 1 pm.
“You can either dine in our dining hall or we have to-go boxes so you can take it to go and enjoy it maybe eat it in your warmer house, although our dining hall is heated. We’re doing the best we can this year.”
Camp Tuscazoar is located at 6066 Boyscoat Road Northeast, just outside of Zoarville. Schoenbaum says transportation will be available to and from the parking lot so attendees won’t have to walk uphill with a belly full of hotcakes.
“The hill is a little tall going back up. It’s not too bad going down – it’s the up part – but I do have golf carts available and we’ll be happy to take anybody that needs a ride.”
Tickets will be available at the gate on both days or you can call the camp to reserve them in advance and get a slight discount. Proceeds help the Camp Tuscazoar Foundation maintain the more than 800-acre nature camp that celebrated its hundredth birthday in 2020.
