County Commissioners place JFS director on leave
NEW PHILADELPHIA – The Tuscarawas County Commissioners have placed Job and Family Services Director David Haverfield on administrative paid leave, they announced in a two-sentence press release Wednesday afternoon. The other sentence says there is no further information or comment at this time.
Haverfield has been director at JFS since 2015.
Last week, Haverfield asked the commissioners to put a five-year, $4.5 million levy on the ballot this spring to support the local foster care system. Commissioners asked him to find other ways to cut costs first.
The commissioners next meet Monday at 2 p.m.
