Dover Avenue recess cut short by adult yelling out car window
DOVER (December 1, 2023) – There was a “reverse evacuation” at Dover Avenue Elementary yesterday just after 11 a.m.
Principal Katie Nicholson sent a message to parents describing how fourth-grade students were brought back inside at recess time after an adult drove around the playground yelling out of the car window.
Dover police say the woman has a child at the school and was not yelling anything threatening or harmful to the students.
Police are looking into the parental rights arrangement to determine if they will pursue any charges.
Nicholson in the message to parents said the students did an excellent job, continued recess inside, and had a normal afternoon.
