ASHLAND – The Dover boys lost another close, high-scoring match to Ashland Saturday by a 5-4 score.

Scoring for the Tornadoes were Chris Aguirre, Gabe McDade Povick, and Carver Ulrich (2). Adding an assist was Cayden Escusa.

Dover Coach Austin Wade:

“Credit to Ashland. They’re well-coached and have several physical, talented playmakers.

“We’ve had a string of relentlessly difficult, competitive games, and even as we’ve fallen to 4-6-1, five of our six losses have been by just one goal. The strength of our schedule and opponents shows, and although it can feel disappointing to have some these games slip so closely past, I’m extremely proud of our boys. Joey Jones has kept us in several games with key saves, and the rest of our guys have been leaving everything on the field, playing for each other. I love this team, and I have the utmost belief in our guys to continue working to find ways to get back on top.”

Dover JV won 3-0:
Danny Peltz: goal and asst
Bryson Kitchen: goal
Dawson VanDonge: goal

Dover JV record: 7-1-1
