The event
The Tuscarawas County Public Library System will offer a series of cooking demonstrations at its Main Library for those looking for sugar-free options this holiday season.
“We are excited to welcome the fabulous duo of Bev Keller and Michelle Specht for this four-part cooking series,” said Director Michelle Ramsell. “These demos will not only be informative, but also fun, as we learn ideas to make the holidays enjoyable with zero sugar and zero guilt.”
Ramsell said attendees will have the opportunity to sample items and, in some cases, to take something home during these hour-long demos.
Thursday, October 30th 6:00PM Jams and Jellies: Zero Sugar
Learn to make two-ingredient zero sugar jams and jellies using chia seeds. Participants will leave with a sample jar to take home.
Thursday, November 6th 6:00PM Christmas Treats: Zero Sugar / Zero Guilt
Learn to make delicious cookies and desserts perfect for the holiday season. Participants will leave with a small recipe book of ideas.
Thursday, November 13th 6:00PM Protein Mamas Unite
Learn how to protein-rich coffee creamers that are zero sugar that will help you easily make your daily protein goals while enjoying delicious beverages. Samples will be shared.
Saturday, November 15th 10:30AM Zero Sugar Gift Giving
Kick off the Main Library’s Holiday Open House with the final installment in the Zero Sugar series. Learn how to make zero sugar Christmas candies and treats that won’t break the bank and are perfect for gift giving to friends and loved ones with special dietary needs. Participants will make a zero sugar hot chocolate base to gift.
